The Longest running annual event for
Bodmin Lions was started over 40 years ago in the now demolished
In recent years it has been held in the Shire Suite
Bodmin Lions' Club held their annual Senior
Citizens' Party 1st Dec 2013 at the Shire House Suite.
Around 120 senior citizens enjoyed 4 hours of party time which included music and singing by Jim Tilley
and a feast of Cornish and Christmas songs by Viv and Roger Bennett, everyone present joined in with their singalongs.
The compere was Adrian Wilton of Dobwalls, who really did have everyone in stitches.There was a free bingo session to end the day. Refreshments were provided by Barnett Fare.
Lion President Paul Gitsham thanked the Lions'
ladies for their help.
He thanked Mayor Ken Stubbs and his wife, Marion, for their presence in helping the party go with such a swing,
and also the community of Bodmin for providing the funds for the party.
