The party is one of the long running event for the club, it was held during January each year, a full sit down Lunch with entertainment after. The party was held at the Foster Hall in the grounds of St Lawrence Hospital (The start of the Pantomime). In more recent years we have held the party before Christmas in the Shire Suite. We now have a buffet style meal with entertainment and a sing along.

Senior Citizens Party 2010
Sunday, 28th November 2010 we held our
Club's Senior Citizens' Party, in the Shire House Suite, Bodmin, from 3.00pm to
7.00pm.
Entertainment was provided by Jim Tilley
with his guitar, with a wide range of music and song, and Maureen Lloyd
with her accompanist Mike Jones who had all present singing along to their music
hall songs. Amongst all this the compere and storyteller was Paul Scoble.
Buffet refreshments were provided by Barnet Fare.
About one hundred senior citizens from the
town and area were present, who were helped and attended to by Lions members and
their ladies. Also present assisting were Bodmin's Mayor Maggie Denholm
and Lions' Zone Chair, Heather Stanley.
The Club provides all the costs of the event
from their charity fund, including bus transport for those who requested
it, although the Lady Mayor generously provided the use of the Shire House
Suite without charge for this event.
The Lions' Club President, Derek Williamson,
said "We were very pleased with the way the party went. We had
a great many thanks from people as they were leaving and have since received a
number of 'thank you' letters."
The Club has held such events annually for
over 30 years.

Party 2009
Above a few pictures of our Senior Citizens Party 2009. The party again
attended by our Town Mayor with entertainment by Jim Tilley & Lions Ladies
Charter member, (Lion Ralph Wrixon) all dressed up and ready to serve.
Ralph is in fact older than many of our senior citizens at the party.
